During the winter months, both Lesley & Andrew return home to Bristol, in the UK, to see our family and to work, rest and prepare for next season.
During the winter, Andrew is available for yacht delivery and personal sailing tuition. He is a fully qualified RYA/MCA Ocean Yachtmaster Instructor with commercial endorsements for both sail and power. He has over 100,000 miles in his log book and has made fourteen transatlantic crossings and innumerable other delivery passages. With his wealth of experience he is able to deliver your yacht to any destination safely and economically. He has a number of qualified and experienced crew available to assist him and you would be most welcome to join him on all or part of the passage, tuition can be given on passage as appropriate.
Sail training is available with Andrew on board Anam Cara from our base in Fethiye , where we also have a modern 52 foot twin engine motor cruiser available for tuition (please contact us for details and prices)
In addition, he can provide own boat tuition on your boat, or one that you charter, wherever it is based, for you and up to three crew if needed.
Being a RYA Yachtmaster Instructor, Andrew can provide sailing tuition to the RYA standards for Competent Crew, Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster on both sail and power boats. Please note however, that he cannot issue certification as he does not operate an RYA approved teaching establishment.
Charges for delivery and tuition are very reasonable, basically there is a daily fee of £100.00 to which is added all expenses incurred such as traveling to and from the boat, fuel and provisions. All vessels must be well found and appropriately insured.
